Photometric Lighting Design & Compliance | AGi32 | 10+ Yrs
US-based Mechanical Engineer specializing in AGi32 photometric lighting design, with 10+ years of experience and 19,945 hours across 43 Upwork contracts. I provide photometric calculations and lighting compliance documentation for industrial, mining, roadway, car park, sports and architectural projects, working to IES and AS/NZS lighting standards. **WHAT I DO** I provide photometric calculations and lighting compliance documentation using AGi32. I build the CAD background, model the space, place and aim luminaires, run the calculations, check the results against the required criteria, and prepare the documentation for engineering, client, or authority review. • AGi32 point-by-point calculations: illuminance, luminance, uniformity, glare (UGR, GR, TI), BUG ratings, spill light, and obtrusive light • Sports lighting to IES RP-6 and AS/NZS 2560 class requirements • Industrial and mining lighting, interior and exterior, including mobile plant and off-road vehicle applications • Roadway, car park, and infrastructure lighting to IES RP-8 and AS/NZS 1158 • Coral and horticultural PAR / PPFD studies • Retrofit and value-engineering studies against existing lighting baselines • Luminaire selection, mounting-height, spacing, and aiming studies • Lighting compliance and design optimization **HOW I WORK** Every calculated result in my reports comes from an AGi32 model using manufacturer photometric files (IES/LDT). I can hand over the working AGI model together with the report, allowing you or your engineer to review the inputs, verify the calculations, and rerun the model. Results are calculation-based—not estimated by eye. I prefer clearly defined fixed-price milestones rather than open-ended hours. Before work begins, you receive a defined scope, deliverables, assumptions, and milestone schedule. At each milestone, I provide a progress update supported by calculation screenshots and results. I limit the number of active projects I handle at one time. If my schedule is full, I will give you a realistic start date rather than accept the project and compromise the delivery schedule. **WHAT YOU GET** • AGi32 calculation model (.AGI) and CAD background • Photometric calculation and compliance report • Design criteria and calculation assumptions • Light Loss Factor (LLF) breakdown • Luminaire schedule and quantities • Mounting heights and aiming information • Iso-illuminance plots and point-by-point calculation grids • Compliance summary against the applicable standard • One revision round included per milestone **TO START** Send me: • DWG or PDF drawings • Luminaire information or manufacturer IES/LDT files, if already selected • Mounting and installation constraints • Applicable lighting standard or required performance criteria I will review the information and come back with a fixed price, milestone schedule, deliverables, and the assumptions used for the quotation. If the scope is not sufficiently defined to price accurately, I will tell you exactly what information is missing rather than guess.
