Charles S.
Senior Full Stack Developer, Project & Product Manager
Thanks for reading! In short. I'm a 15 year industry veteran who understands how to take something from concept to reality, and do it the right way. The expanded version is that I'm a Full Stack Developer who has had multiple successful startups, as well as worked at the highest levels in some of the biggest companies I understand the full pipeline from CTO, to Product Management, to Project Management. I specialize in making software that isn't just stable and scalable but also flexible. We all know in the business world, new features mean more cash flow and those the life blood of a company. If you build an application that that breaks every time you try to add a new feature, or it takes forever to add them, that can quickly strangle your company. Scalability is also a major issue in every consumer driven application. This is always do to "bad architecture", I'm tempted to put "Senior Software Architect" somewhere in my title or skill set, but good software architecture is such a foreign concept that hardly anyone would know what I'm talking about. However, basically good architecture makes your application flexible and scalable. I prefer to work in Python. My web framework of choice is Django as it is an extremely secure framework that m. It is just amazingly stable. You have companies like Instagram and TicketMaster actively working together to contribute to the "open source" code library that is Django to make it more scalable, secure, flexible .. all those good buzzwords. I do also love Flask, but you really have to think about the security aspects of Flask deeply as Flask will let you do almost anything, so you're somewhat re-inviting parts of Django anytime you make a Flask application. Flask is lighter weight and great for API micro services. If you are in the financial technology sector, soiling parts of your application for security is a great measure to take. I have a lot of experience in the CTO role which also makes me have a lot of experience in the Project and Product management roles. Most people have no concept of a "product development pipeline", but its really what can make or break a startup company. Basically there is no communication of what the feature is trying to solve, and there is no communication with the development team of if this is a practical way to solve it, and its more or less some UI/UX designer with someone in the business unit making a Christmas list to hand off to some developers who will ultimately not even know what to do with it. Oh! And the business unit talked to the non-technical CTO, who assured them that it would be done in 3 months. So they dump a ton of the company's budget into advertising these new features ( that the developers haven't even heard of yet ) being done in 3 months.
