I'm an editor and colorist with over 20 years in commercial post. I started as an assistant editor in Chicago and went on to cut and color campaigns for agencies like Leo Burnett, McCann, FCB, McKinney and AbelsonTaylor, for brands including Kellogg's, MillerCoors, Lexus, Infiniti and AbbVie. In 2014 I co-founded Chop & Hue, a small production and post studio in Michigan. Day to day, I direct, edit and color brand work for clients like Wahl, BISSELL, Merrell, Hush Puppies, Haworth and Greenworks. Most recently, my work on Wahl Professional's 'Make It With Wahl' campaign with Allie Bussa, which champions women in careers traditionally held by men, earned a Gold ANA Reggie Award (Brand Catalyst / GEM). What I do • Editing for commercials, brand films, documentary and narrative pieces • Color grading and finishing in DaVinci Resolve • Online and conform. If a project is cut in Premiere or Avid, I can conform and finish it in Resolve. • Light motion graphics and sound in After Effects, with a trusted sound designer when the project needs one How I work I care most about story, pacing and tone, and I'm happy to bring humor in when it fits. I work well on a team, whether that's plugging into an agency's process, partnering with a director, or taking a project from raw footage through final delivery. I offer live remote review sessions and cloud-based approval, so feedback stays quick and clear. I've also taught editing as an adjunct at Columbia College Chicago, so I'm comfortable explaining my choices and collaborating closely. I'm always glad to meet new producers, directors and agencies, whether it's for a single spot or a long-term partnership.
