My current expertise as a freelancer is in the fields of AI training (including prompt writing and prompt evaluation, voice prompting, TTS (text-to-speech models), data annotation, domain phrasing localization, audio quality evaluation, speech synthesis output evaluation etc), translation, voice-over recording, audio and video editing in Kannada. Artificial Intelligence training and evaluation ---------- I've been involved in several AI training related projects in Upwork. This includes 1. Training a virtual assistant (domain phrasing localization) 2. Speech synthesis evaluation (intonation, acronyms, ordinals, numbers) 3. AI translated output (text) evaluation (grammar, sentence formation, preservation of original intent, emotion) 4. Voice Prompting and TTS (text-to-speech models) 5. Voice-over evaluation My career as a professional journalist in the Kannada electronic media industry lasted 8 years. Details of my professional experience are available below in the Employment History section. My areas of expertise and specializations include: Voice-Over ---------- 1. I host a YouTube Channel (BannadaChitte) of short Kannada Stories (less than 5 minutes each). I record the stories in my own voice and I publish every week. This has given me continuous and regular experience with voice-over. 2. I have successfully completed several voice-over projects on UpWork. Content Writing -------- Content writing is my strongest skill. It has not only been my profession, but also my passion. I've continued my journey into content writing even after I quit my daily job. I regularly write articles for leading Kannada publications. I have two weapons that make the content I write shine: 1. My experience in field reporting, which gives me unique perspective into the daily lives of people from all strata of society (more details in the section on "Field Reporting" below) 2. I've stayed in Europe for 4 years, which gives me insight into different lifestyles and cultures. Many of my articles stem from a combination of these factors. For example, one of my articles published in Sudha magazine (the title of which translates to "Before embarking to distant shores"), talks about what are the factors one should consider before migrating abroad. Field reporting -------- I have 5 years of experience in field reporting. I reported on a wide variety of events, ranging from the mundane, all the way to the extraordinary. In a typical day at work I would interact with people from all walks of life - the poorest labourers to celebrities and even the Chief Minister. Translation to Kannada -------- I started my journey in the media world as a copy editor and copy writer. I have 3 years experience in this area. This is the job which gave me exposure to translation from English to Kannada and Hindi to Kannada. I've translated national and international news to Kannada. Fiction and non-fiction -------- Besides writing professionally, I also write stories and non-fiction as a hobby. I write in both short and long formats and several of these have been published in Kannada publications. My experience staying abroad has given me the opportunity to write several travelogues.
