Pat L.

Full-stack PHP/MySQL developer with 20+ years of experience building custom web applications from the ground up — from internal tools for major brands to lightweight platforms for startups and small businesses. I specialize in raw PHP development (no frameworks required) and have built everything from inventory management systems to directory-style platforms with search, filtering, user profiles, and admin moderation. Recent work includes a custom bakery sales app for King's Hawaiian and a reusable platform I built in raw PHP that's ideal for local directories, service marketplaces, and other dynamic sites. I'm equally comfortable writing custom WordPress plugins, integrating third-party APIs (REST/SOAP), or troubleshooting legacy code. Past integrations include Stripe, Authorize.net, PayPal, EODHD, Dwolla, and Promostandards. I've also created a WooCommerce plugin for Promostandards product sync, available on Upwork. I work best with clients who want reliable, efficient builds that are clean under the hood and easy to maintain. Long-term client relationships are important to me — many of mine go back years across industries like manufacturing, legal, retail, nonprofit, and professional services. My rate is flexible, and I'm happy to quote fixed-price projects. Let's talk about what you're building.
