Amanda H.

Unlike many Chinese-speaking translators, I've lived and worked in a native English-speaking country, which enables me to not only accurately translate languages, but also translate the intent and nuance between cultures. In addition to my jobs here on Upwork, I'm also an industry-vetted marketing professional. I am the point of contact for all international suppliers at JXF Trading Corpation, Taiwan, and perform all English to Chinese translation of marketing material for imported products. My degree in Advertising and Marketing from Leeds University, UK ensures that my translations are enticing for Chinese-speaking consumers. In comparison, my degree in economics from National Taipei University ensures my translations include the appropriate global context. I've also held ongoing part time positions for translation agencies, Linguitronics Co., Ltd. and OURS Linguistics (群譯翻譯). In 2015, I acted as a cultural liaison and interpreter between the lead of a dairy-products import company and a large number of international suppliers, in order to identify new international business opportunities. Note that my work is charged on a per-word basis (as is typical for translation). If you're looking for high quality work that will help you quickly achieve your goals, get started by inviting me to your job. Language is my passion, and I look forward to helping you make a grand entry to the Chinese-speaking market! --Amanda Hong
