(1) Translation I am a native Sinhala speaker. I was born in Sri Lanka and had the primary and secondary education in the Sinhala medium, with English as a secondary language. My working experience of 18 years was in a leading commercial bank in Sri Lanka, where the working language was English. I completed my MIT (Master of Information Technology - Colombo Uni) in the English medium. Further, I taught in two international schools for a total of 14 years, in the English medium. In addition to miscellaneous translation projects, I translated TV news on a daily basis for two years, for an Indian news agency. I also taught online from home, for two years in a school in Turkey, in the English medium Experience: * I have been selecting and translating Sinhala TV news videos to English on a daily basis, from October 2016 to February 2018, for a press agency based in India, on the Upwork platform. I translated and classified News and Talk shows of all the Sri Lankan TV channels, for this client. While having the skill of writing well in English, proof reading is my strong point, which I did voluntarily, while teaching in school. I love my present job of teaching online. I pay attention to details (proof reader's habit) (2) Teaching I love teaching online. Subject I like to teach is, Computer Science. Presently, I teach Computer Science (9618) for Cambridge G.C.E. A/L, using Zoom meetings. I Use MOODLE (LMS) for creating and managing each student's individual course, where lessons are available in PDF and video formats. After each lesson, there are quizzes and assignments to be done and submitted. During this period, I have produced four "Best in the country" Cambridge award winners for Cambridge O/Level Computer Science. * I have taught "Foundations of Programming" using 'Python' and "Foundation of Web Design" to multinational students of a leading Online Academy "Safir American School" located in Turkey, using the Academy's LMS (Learning Management System).
