Based in Kyoto, Japan, I am a creative technologist and composer bridging the gap between high-level musical artistry and interactive technology. My background includes a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Performance from Victoria University of Wellington and a career performing with world-class orchestras, which I now integrate with AI-assisted development to create bespoke web applications. RECENT INTERACTIVE PROJECTS I specialise in building interactive tools using a mix of deep domain knowledge in music theory and modern AI-driven coding workflows: SPEAKING PIANO: A real-time Audio-to-MIDI interface inspired by Peter Ablinger. Developed using HTML, JS, and Google’s Antigravity AI, it uses FFT processing to translate formants into MIDI data. LHC INSTALLATION: A web-based physics simulation using Three.js and Tone.js. This project sonifies simulated LHC data, mapping particle momentum to glowing visuals and ambient drones. AUDIO & VIDEO PRODUCTION I provide high-end dialogue post-production in both English and Japanese. My workflow focuses on precision noise removal, spectral editing, and tonal balancing for a polished, professional result. I am also proficient in DaVinci Resolve for comprehensive video editing and colour grading. COMPOSITION & SOUND DESIGN My scores often blend traditional orchestral foundations with experimental electronic elements. Whether for film, games, or installations, I leverage my experience as a percussionist and pianist to create unique, high-fidelity soundscapes tailored to the project’s mood. NOTABLE COLLABORATIONS I have worked with a diverse range of high-profile artists and institutions, including: Iggy Pop, Shackleton, John Psathas, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Strike Percussion, Orchestra Wellington, and Uplearn. In addition to my creative work, I am involved in LLM training, evaluating and refining generative AI models to improve the performance of English and Japanese text.
