Daniel H.
Senior Unity / VR / AR Developer | C# | Three.js | Full Stack
I'm a senior Unity, VR/AR and full-stack developer with over 15 years of commercial experience building interactive applications, games and digital experiences. My work ranges from standalone Meta Quest applications and large multiplayer VR installations through to augmented reality, computer vision, touchscreen experiences, interactive installations and full-stack web platforms. I've delivered projects for clients and brands including Cartier, Ralph Lauren, Timberland, The North Face, Bentley, Audi, Aston Martin, McDonald's, GSK and Pepsi. **Unity / C# / VR** I have extensive commercial experience with Unity and C#, including Meta Quest, Pico, OpenXR, multiplayer networking, Photon, physics and interaction systems, optimisation, animation, shaders and custom hardware integration. One of my recent projects is a multiplayer VR experience for a museum which supports up to 40 standalone VR headsets simultaneously. **AR / Computer Vision / Interactive Technology** I've been developing AR and computer-vision applications since well before they became mainstream. My experience includes image and object recognition, OpenCV, depth cameras, motion tracking, background removal, projection mapping and physical sensors. I've worked with technologies including VisionLib, 8th Wall, Kinect/Azure Kinect, Leap Motion and a wide range of cameras, tracking systems and custom hardware. **Three.js / WebAR / 3D Web** I build browser-based 3D and AR applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Three.js, WebGL and A-Frame, including WebAR experiences, interactive 3D product/property interfaces and mobile browser experiences. **Full-Stack Web Development** I also develop complete web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, APIs and cloud infrastructure including AWS and Firebase. This means I can handle projects that cross the usual boundaries between the application, backend, database, cloud services and physical installation rather than requiring a different developer for each part. **Recent work includes:** • Multiplayer standalone VR experiences • Meta Quest 3 and Pico development • AR and 3D object recognition • Three.js/WebGL/WebAR applications • Computer vision and real-time image processing • Interactive kiosks and touchscreen applications • Camera-based experiences and automated background removal • Multiplayer/networked applications • Full-stack React/Next.js platforms • APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure • Interactive installations and custom hardware integration I'm equally comfortable building a project from scratch or taking over an existing codebase, diagnosing problems and getting it finished.
