PCB Design Review Before You Order | KiCad, ESP32 & Li-Po | MS RF

About to order boards, or connect a Li-Po for the first time? Have an independent engineer check it first. This is for you if you're not an electrical engineer, your board was drafted quickly or with AI, or your last batch didn't work. A clean DRC only means the rules you set passed. It doesn't tell you whether the charger can handle a Wi-Fi burst, whether the battery is protected when it gets hot, or whether a footprint matches the part you actually ordered. WHAT I CHECK ON EVERY BOARD - Li-Po charging and protection: charge current, NTC temperature cut-off, power path, behaviour with no battery or a flat one - Regulators, decoupling and a power budget with a battery-life estimate - Antenna keep-out, module placement and matching (my MS is in RF and Microwaves) - USB-C, ESD, boot and reset circuits, strapping pins - Every footprint and pinout against the manufacturer's datasheet, especially substituted parts - Part lifecycle (Active, not NRND or EOL) and LCSC stock - JLCPCB rules, part rotation, BOM and CPL WHAT YOU GET A written report. Every finding has an ID, a severity (Critical, Major, Minor), its location on the board, why it matters and the fix. It ends with a clear verdict: OK to order, or fix these first. I'll push back if I think a change you asked for is wrong. That's part of what you're paying for. THREE WAYS TO WORK WITH ME 1. Pre-order review: the report above, in 2 to 3 working days for most small boards. 2. Review and fix: the report, the fixes in your files, a fresh JLCPCB package (Gerbers, drill, BOM with LCSC numbers, CPL) and a change log. 3. Full design: schematic and 2 to 4 layer layout for JLCPCB assembly, when you'd rather start clean. ABOUT ME MS in RF and Microwaves (NUST). I've worked as a Hardware and PCB Engineer at Yaman Electronics. I design battery-powered ESP32 boards in KiCad, including Li-Po charging (BQ24074) and fuel gauging (MAX17048). TO START, SEND ME 1. Your KiCad or EasyEDA project zip and a schematic PDF 2. What the board does, in 2 or 3 sentences 3. How it's powered, and your battery-life target if you have one 4. Where you'll make it, and how many 5. When you plan to order I'll reply within a day with what I'd check first and a fixed price. Your files stay private and I sign NDAs on request. You own everything I deliver.
