Hi, I have more than 30 years of experience in the investment advisory profession and have written more than a million words on investing, trading, common stocks, and listed options. Here's a snapshot of my background. My career in the business began in the 1980s managing both fixed income and equity portfolios for a handful of wealthy families. My investment advisory work also included selecting outside managers and building a fund of funds to invest in alternative asset classes like private equity and debt, venture capital, and real estate. In the 1990s, I was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the predecessor entity of Aspiriant Wealth Management. I left the firm to become a Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer at Beta Capital, the holding company of a small family office. I contributed to the textbook “Wealth Management: A Concise Guide to Financial Planning and Investment Management for Wealthy Clients.” I ghostwrote the book “Bozos, Monsters and Whiz-Bangs” for a Registered Investment Advisor, and I contributed the investment research material for the book “Diversify or Die: Diversity. Inclusion. Evolution. Success.” The greatest value I will bring to you is an innate ability to explain very complicated subjects in a manner that an average person can clearly understand.
