AI Solutions Architect | Graph Systems | ASA
I design AI systems where deterministic structure and probabilistic intelligence coexist: hard constraints where they matter, freedom to reason where it creates value, and circuit breakers because things will break—and can spin out of control. Resilience means detecting failures, stopping unsafe execution, containing the damage, and making recovery possible. I’m particularly interested in complex, medium- to long-term engagements, helping teams move from architecture through production and continuous improvement. My work centers on internal and B2B systems that need to retain context, build shared knowledge, reason across relationships, and learn from outcomes. CURRENT WORK: EEF I’m developing EEF (Epistemic Event Fabric), a platform intended to autonomously operate hundreds of businesses with limited human intervention. Its scope spans strategic planning, operations, sales, marketing, and treasury management, including investment decisions and capital and operating expenditure. The platform currently runs five simulated businesses across domains including confectionery, bio-organics, and solid-state batteries. I’m preparing the first live business for launch and plan to document its successes, failures, and lessons on my blog. This work brings together persistent memory, knowledge graphs, multi-agent coordination, and governed execution. It also demands business isolation, bounded authority, financial controls, traceable decisions, and mechanisms to stop execution when something goes wrong. These are the same architectural challenges I help clients address as they give AI greater responsibility. HOW I WORK As an AI Solutions Architect and Fractional CAIO, I help teams decide what to build, what to buy, what to automate, and where conventional software is the better choice. This includes turning existing workflows and playbooks into reliable automated systems, with resilience, graceful degradation, and recovery built into the architecture. My focus is on systems that get better because they operate. Persistent memory preserves experience. Knowledge graphs and ontologies give that experience structure. Real-time telemetry supplies current operational context, while provenance tracks where information came from. Evaluation and feedback connect decisions to outcomes, allowing proposed improvements to be tested before they change production behavior. Security, compliance, and governance are architectural requirements. I help translate business obligations and risk tolerance into data isolation, access controls, bounded agent authority, approval gates, audit trails, and incident recovery. The goal is clear accountability for what AI can access, decide, and execute, supported by evidence for oversight and compliance reviews. CORE AREAS * Knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, and ontology-grounded reasoning * Persistent and agentic memory, context engineering, and semantic modeling * Workflow and playbook automation, autonomous planning, and multi-agent coordination * Real-time telemetry ingestion and streaming context * Structured decision models, evaluation, and controlled learning * AI security, governance, compliance controls, and auditable decision-making * Circuit breakers, resilient distributed architecture, and operational recovery TECHNOLOGIES GCP (Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise), Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud · Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini · Jev (structured decision models) · Neo4j, pgvector · Python, Rust · Terraform, containers · Kafka/Redpanda · MCP and agent orchestration · CI/CD, observability, red-team testing FRACTIONAL CAIO & ENGAGEMENTS Beyond individual projects, I’m pursuing Fractional Chief AI Officer engagements with companies that need experienced AI leadership before a full-time executive role makes sense. I’m particularly interested in organizations with annual AI spending below approximately $5M that need an experienced hand on the tiller: setting strategy, guiding architecture and investment, evaluating vendors, developing internal capabilities, and holding delivery accountable to business results. Available for project, retainer, and Fractional CAIO engagements, with a preference for sustained partnerships. If you need someone who can shape the strategy, work through the architecture, and help bring the system into production, let’s talk.
