I have been developing browser extensions since 2015. I have over 9000 hours on Upwork mostly working with Chrome extensions. Sometimes I also develop a web app (nowadays I prefer Vue) accompanying the extension. I know what to expect from the Chrome Web Store and other browser stores: their best practices and guidelines, how to publish an extension, and what an extension can be banned for. I try to stick to one employer as long as possible. But despite that, over the years I've been fortunate to work in companies of various sizes, on small and large projects, and by now I believe I know some common pitfalls in the architecture of browser extensions and, more importantly, in the management of the teams developing them.
