Nathan D.

Aloha, I'm Nathan Donahoe, a Native English speaker and real human being who doesn't just copy and paste your questions into ChatGPT to give you the answers you want to hear! I've helped my clients submit more than $2.8 million in grants with work spanning affordable housing, vocational training, animal welfare, faith based organizations, business certification, and international fundraising strategy. I love helping nonprofits I believe in get funding! I have over 20 years of experience in marketing, storytelling, and business development, including studying Critical Studies of Film and Television at USC, which shapes how I build donor-focused narratives that stand out from generic applications. I now help mission-driven nonprofits across the US and internationally secure funding and successfully implement their projects. Grant writing is fundraising: I build the case for support, identify the funders and donors most likely to say yes, and turn each win into a repeatable relationship instead of a one-off check. I'm also building out donor communications and stewardship systems (automated acknowledgment workflows, tiered donor recognition, monthly donor newsletters) for nonprofits who want their grant dollars and individual donors working together. I specialize in: -Identifying the right grant opportunities -Crafting compelling, authentic proposals and LOIs -Building strong budgets and support documentation -Post-award reporting and compliance support -Grant Research, Writing & Full Proposal Development -Grant Acquisition Packages (flat fee) -Post-Award Reporting & Implementation Support Based in Hawaii, working with nonprofits nationwide and abroad. Message me your funding need and I'll tell you within a day whether it's a fit and roughly what it'll take.
