Bill F.

Microsoft-certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert with 20+ years on the Microsoft platform. I was the lead architect on one of the world's largest SAP DB2-to-Azure migrations (Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan) — completed in six months, featured as a Microsoft case study, and recognized with the Microsoft Partner of the Year 2024 award for Azure Migration. I help businesses design, migrate, secure, and govern their Microsoft cloud environments — and increasingly, build the AI platforms on top of them. **What I deliver:** ☁️ **Cloud Migration & Modernization** — Assessment through cutover: Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, server/database/workload migrations, SAP on Azure, and datacenter exits. 🏗️ **Azure Landing Zones & IaC** — Enterprise-scale landing zones on the Cloud Adoption Framework (hub-and-spoke), codified in Bicep with Azure Policy, RBAC, and management-group guardrails for repeatable, compliant rollouts. 🤖 **AI Architecture on Azure** — AI landing zones and secure, governed AI platforms: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, RAG with Azure AI Search, and agentic AI design & orchestration. 🔐 **Security & Identity** — Microsoft Entra ID (P1/P2), Conditional Access, enterprise SSO (SAML/app registrations), Microsoft Sentinel, Defender suite, Intune with Autopilot, Microsoft Purview. 📧 **Microsoft 365** — Tenant design and migrations (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), including a 1,300-user merger migration scaled to ~3,000 accounts. 🌐 **Azure Networking** — ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Front Door, Application Gateway; I authored INE's training course on Azure virtual networks, VPNs & ExpressRoute. **Why clients hire me:** - Managing Delivery Architect at a global consultancy — I run engagements end-to-end, from advisory and target-state design through hands-on delivery. - Former bank Enterprise Architect: I understand regulated, compliance-heavy environments (financial services, governance, audit). - Two published Microsoft case studies, including an Azure-hosted digital banking platform spanning 30+ Azure services. **Certifications:** Azure Solutions Architect Expert · Azure Administrator Associate · Azure Network Engineer Associate · Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty · Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Whether you need a migration roadmap, a landing zone built right the first time, or a secure foundation for AI workloads, let's talk about your project.
