Growth Business Plans and Pitch Decks by former Silicon Valley VC

I’m a former investment banker at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, general partner at Silicon Valley VC firm Mohr Davidow Ventures, co-founder of boutique VC Fast Ventures, and founder of Jackson Steiner, a micro hedge/distressed real estate investment fund. Combined, this amounts to 30+ years of experience in investment banking and venture finance. Today, a few years into semi-retirement, I help founders and CEOs turn their vision into compelling big-picture stories, align stakeholders around common goals and objectives, and persuade investors to back big strategic moves. My work with clients often comprises creating high-level (i) business plans and financial models, (ii) investor decks to support Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A-D round fundraising, (iii) strategic narratives, and other high-stakes company presentations. My secret sauce is to create a narrative that captivates both the hearts and minds of your audience, and helps them find themselves on the trajectory your company is bound to follow. Naturally, this approach drives engagement and facilitates building trusting, understanding, and successful relationships. Recent Client Successes: (i) Wander.com secured a combined $30 million in its Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds from top-tier VCs such as QED Investors, RedPoint, Susa Ventures, and others. They also secured a $100 million line of credit from Credit Suisse on Dec 1, 2022. (ii) Wander Atlas launched the first and only vacation rental REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust), raising $100 million in an exempt Reg D offering in Q1 2023. (iii) CoinPanel.com closed its €10 million Series A round in Q1 2023. But don’t take my word for it; feel free to look them up (e.g., on Crunchbase, Forbes, Bloomberg). Other clients I worked with include BMW Group, CoinPanel.com, Neil Mandt (Crime Door), OnePak, PlantLife, Sharekey, Spotify, Tzmann.com, Viddoze.com, Wander.com, Wander Atlas, Wellavi.com, and many others. Client Feedback/Job Success Score I have maintained a perfect 100% Job Success Score and rave feedback from clients for more than a decade. Unfortunately, I had the great misfortune to work with two clients who had unrealistic expectations coupled with a narcissistic persona and very questionable professional standards. Due to recent changes in how Upwork weights feedback, this caused my Job Success Score (JSS) to drop from a perfect 100% to just 78%. Please kindly review my response to this undeserved feedback and consider the rave feedback I received on close to 80 assignments here on Upwork to gain a more accurate and balanced reflection of my work with clients. I would love to hear from you to discuss your project. I'm a native English speaker. I'm fluent in German and somewhat proficient in French. So, how about it? I’m looking forward to speaking.
