I am a recently graduated BA Hons English and Creative Writing student, finishing with a high 2:1 from the University of Winchester. Through studying for this degree I have gained good proofreading skills, the ability to research thoroughly and I have a good command of the English language both written and orally. I gained a 1st in my dissertation which centered around gender studies. I have over five years experience as a copywriter, blogger and article writer. I have experienced writing to a deadline and a word count. Experienced at using Copyscape to show my work is original content. I'm an experienced researcher with a good knowledge of different topics. Film, literature and pop culture expert with a good knowledge of marketing, languages, publishing, education and business. I also freelance as an exam tutor, UCAS expert and proofreader. I spent three years working for P&G Wells, an independent bookshop where I was a supervisor of their university branch. I know the publishing and book world well. I currently work as an EFL teacher and coordinator, writing reports for students, corresponding with agencies and embassies, writing marketing material for the school and tutoring English as a foreign language. My background is in media and broadcasting; I studied media at college and worked in local radio until recently. I interned at Hot Radio for a year on the Geoff Carter Show where I co-presented Talkabout and was head of social media at Hospital Radio Bedside. I am good at presentations and talking to new people because of this radio work. During my media course, I became skilled in HTML, Microsoft Office software and editing programs like Publisher and PhotoShop. I run Daily Actress, a Tumblr with over 100. 000 followers that gains over 3000 new follows a month and has been used as a source by the likes of Buzzfeed and GQ. I also have had entertainment and fashion articles published on What Culture, ORE and Flush The Fashion, I am a keen researcher and have a fondness for pop culture from old Elvis films to Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Through writing for these online portals I have learnt to keep good time management skills, be able to meet deadlines and have great attention to detail. Growing up in rural Spain and living there for ten years I naturally think outside the box and can speak Catalan and Spanish fluently and French and Italian at a basic level. Between this upbringing and travelling from a young age I have a good awareness of different cultures and can adapt to my surroundings easily. Having been thrown in a foreign school aged six I can handle high-pressure situations that are outside my comfort zone.
