Executive Communications, Investor Decks & Strategy | Deep Tech, AI
I help founders, CEOs, and growing organizations turn complex technical work into clear, persuasive investor decks, board materials, and executive communication β the kind that hold up in the room. I also do the work behind the materials: the strategy, alignment, and partnerships that move an idea from a founder's head into the real world. Most people who build decks are designers or writers. I'm an operator. I've sat beside the CEO through multiple raises (series A-C) and built a startup ecosystem from the ground up β so the materials I make are grounded in how the business and the room actually work, not just how they should look. Whether you need a pitch deck sharpened before a raise, an embedded partner who keeps leadership aligned through a year of growth, or someone to help an idea find its market and its partners, the work is the same: take something real but unstructured β a founder's vision, a technical product, a fundraising story, a set of scattered priorities β and make it coherent. Coherence is the whole point. As an idea travels from your head into a deck, a team, a room full of investors, or out into a market, the message tends to drift from the underlying reality, and the pieces stop adding up. I keep the story, the strategy, and the work itself connected, so what you present is sharp *and* true. For five and a half years I was the embedded communications and strategic partner to the CEO of Iontra, a venture-backed battery company β building investor decks, board presentations, and shareholder updates, running executive operating reviews, and coordinating across product, engineering, finance, and operations as it grew from under 10 people to over 100 and raised $125M+ across Series A, B, and C. I kept leadership aligned and turned dense battery and semiconductor engineering into narratives investors and customers could follow. Earlier, I was founding Director of Partnerships at Colabs β building one of my region's leading startup communities from the ground up, into a hub that has since expanded internationally. I connected accelerators, universities, corporations, and investors into a working ecosystem, mentored and judged founder cohorts across major accelerator programs, and supported university research commercialization through the University of Tokyo's Todai to Texas program. The industries have changed β deep tech, AI, robotics, clean transportation, SaaS, healthcare, university research β but the work has stayed consistent: helping technically sophisticated organizations think clearly, communicate clearly, and connect to the people who carry their ideas forward. Across 20+ years, clients and projects I've supported have contributed to $150M+ in fundraising and 80+ product launches. What I can help with - Investor decks and pitch decks that survive diligence - Board presentations and shareholder updates - Executive communications and leadership messaging - Strategic synthesis, positioning, and founder/executive thought partnership - Executive operating cadence and cross-functional coordination - Commercialization and go-to-market narrative - Innovation ecosystems and partnerships β connecting startups, investors, universities, and institutions - Technical storytelling for investors, customers, and partners - Data room organization and diligence support - AI-assisted drafting and synthesis, guided by human judgment I'm at my best when the material matters and the stakes are real β a raise, a board meeting, a product launch, a pivotal decision, or a stretch of growth where leadership has to stay aligned. My job is to find the logic, sharpen the message, and hand you something β and someone β you can rely on. Available for one-off projects, fractional roles, and ongoing engagements. Based in Columbus, Ohio.
