Professor of Economics

I am a professor of economics at Seattle University (previously California State University Fullerton) with a PhD in economics from the University of Washington. I specialize in microeconomics and quantitative analysis, especially using observational data (although I have my share of experiment design experience as well). I have tons of experience with Python, Stata, and especially R. I have written packages that are publicly available in all three languages. I can help with research design, analysis, and data cleaning/preparation, either for projects that use observational administrative or government data, or for experimental design. I have plenty of experience working with both academic and private-sector work, and have spent years doing consulting for finance projects in VC and PE. Finally, I do plenty of work helping people edit or revise their research writing. As of this writing, I have more than 20 published papers in applied economics and econometrics, and many more in the pipeline. I have extensive experience as a mentor and tutor helping people with their own class projects, theses, dissertations, or nonacademic research projects. I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am a full-time professor, and am looking for supplementary work in order to save up for some major purchases. What I don't do: Please note that I am an economist, not a financier or businessperson. I am unlikely to be able to help you design investment plans, business operations, or a blockchain white paper. Hourly rate can be negotiated depending on the project.
