NOVELS, STORIES, SCREENPLAYS You’ve got an awesome idea for a novel, story, or screenplay, but you need help getting it done. Let’s make it happen. Whether it's consulting as a developmental editor or ghostwriting stories from beginning to end, I've helped many screenwriters and novelists develop, refine, improve, or finish their stories. I can help you, too. PROCESS My process is rooted in "character-driven storytelling" -- we'll define who your "hero" is, what they want or need to accomplish, what's standing in their way, what they need to do to achieve their goals, and how their life will be changed when they succeed. We'll work to clarify any themes you're interested in focusing on, the style you desire, and your readers' expectations for the genre and tropes. We'll have defined milestones and regular check-ins, so you know exactly where your story stands. TESTIMONIALS “We’ve worked with a LOT of writers over the years, but this has been hands down one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Massively over-delivered on the final manuscript. Extreme communication at every step of the way … He took a “so-so” story idea and really made it shine. Highly recommended if you need a stellar creative writer to fine-tune your story, idea, or manuscript!” — TC, author, screenwriter “Chip was an absolute joy to work with. Phenomenal writer and highly professional!” — SS, client liaison, fantasy worldbuilding for elearning “Chip graciously provided me with detailed feedback on my ambitious science fiction space opera that is in its early stages. I have a long road ahead and the draft is extremely rough, but he not only took the time to read through all 70k+ words and make notes along the way, he also included a summary page with loads of comments and questions which is exactly what I was looking for. He is a genuine professional. You’ll be in good hands if you choose him to help with your project.” — JM, author (work in progress) “Chip understood the short assignment and provided useful and balanced insight and analysis that will help me to improve the piece. I very much appreciate his professionalism and communication and would recommend him to anyone.” — RK, author (work in progress) “You did a terrific rewrite. Thank you for being so open and creative.” -- Stan Harris, eKidsFilms “We had a fantastic experience working with Chip and would recommend him enthusiastically. He is an imaginative writer, a clear communicator, and a proactive teammate. He consistently delivered high-quality work on time, and he incorporated feedback quickly and effectively. I hope to work with him again on future projects!” -- Elizabeth Slavitt, Founder, Shakespeers “I recently consulted with Chip on my psychological thriller screenplay and it was by far the best move I could’ve ever made. What I received far exceeded my expectations.” -- Jeff Warrick, Screenwriter, Producer, IgniteProductions “I’m so grateful for the feedback on the script – I don’t think it would have gotten to a better place on its own, regardless of how hard I tried. I spent a full year doing a re-write based on your notes, which I hope resulted in a better story. Thank you!” -- Jason Nicholson, Normal Network Film & Animation “I just read your comments. [It] definitely gives the kid motive, and helps me in directing the scene.” -- Ram Hernandez, Writer/Director, Red Rocket Films “I think you’ve done a great job! I wasn’t expecting myself to laugh and smirk that much reading your take on the dialogues that I’ve read so many times before.” — Eugene Ivanov, Candygrill Games “Forgive this moment of pride, but I actually am proud of this. Chip Street, did I thank you enough for your wisdom and talent?” -- John Marshall, Author, “Free Is Bad” “Chip is a damn good script reader because he’s a damn good script writer. He takes his kid gloves off and delivers honest, on point and actionable notes. My scripts would not in the shape they are without his professional input and insightful feedback. Because of Chip’s professional script feedback, my entire approach to writing now goes to 11, not just my screenplay. Thanks Chip!” — Jeff Palmer, Writer/Producer/Director; Screenwriting Adjunct Professor, Fitchburg State University; Video Production Adjunct Instructor, Northern Essex Community College “Your script is terrific … truly you have captured the children and me. I think it’s more of a winner than I ever dreamed and I am close to tears with joy. Thank you!” — Sari Mitchell, Creator/Producer, Nature Rangers “Chip Street is a wonderful and inventive writer. He knows how to create unique stories and keep them moving in a way that captivates the reader.” — John Rainey, Author: “You Talkin’ to Me?
