I've led a projects + operations team in a top 5 MSP for over a decade and one of the biggest challenge is to design platforms that require low operation cost, are highly available and easy to maintain; all at the same time. I've seen too much share of technical architects that can't translate customer requirements into a solution that's easy to operate. I always apply this philosophy from platforms consisting of 1 server, to thousands. Some of my recent projects: - Design and build a microservices platform using EKS with end to end observability for a health related company. - Build a CI/CD pipeline for a small not-technical company to achieve hands-free releases without a sweat. - Consulting, design and automated build of a multi-account landing zone for a leading B2B technology provider. Customer required a landing zone which helped their internal IT progressively move workloads to the cloud while keeping it connected to their global SDWAN. - Consultancy on AWS billing for small fintech startup which helped reduce their bill 500% from one month to the other. - Consulting and design of a landing zone focused on security and compliance for a leading DTC retailer. The solution provided flexibility to internal IT to allocate new accounts for different departments while ensuring these accounts follow strict regulatory and security compliance configurations. - Design and build muti-region cloud platform +100 servers in different environments for a tax refund company. Customer required different environments where testing of their application could be done and additionally, approved software packages could be deployed into production without developers interaction. - Build of multi-region cloud platform for one of the biggest retailers worldwide. Challenges in this deployment was to use the restricted region of AWS China. - Consulting, design and build a service catalog in AWS where IT department of a marketing firm could spin up new platforms easily to be consumed by marketing teams to build new campaigns while ensuring these platforms follow a set architecture and guidelines.
