DFM: High-end custom furniture pieces and factory-ready packages for small and serial production. For factories, I design cabinetry systems and furniture that's ergonomically sound and ready to build, with technical documentation accurate enough that production doesn't need to guess. I work across two stages, often both: Design and Documentation for production Design — Spatial planning and ergonomics for bespoke cabinetry and furniture in SketchUp: layouts, clearances, proportions, functional flow. I also plan and design living and office spaces, balancing aesthetics with how the space is actually used day to day. Documentation for production — Bills of Materials, cutting lists, and workshop assembly drawings. Material analysis for solid wood (teak, oak), MDF, veneer, and metal components, with attention to yield and run-time. Integration of hardware systems (Blum, Hettich, Häfele) into the design, including tolerances and joint details. 15 years in furniture design and production — 10 years on the factory floor, 5 years leading Design Product Development. Recent work covers kitchen layouts, wardrobes, high-end furniture pieces, and factory-ready packages for small production runs. Software: SketchUp + LayOut (2025), AutoCAD, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Excel for BOM and pricing tables. I work with interior designers who need a concept turned into buildable drawings, and with furniture/kitchen manufacturers who need a new line ready for the shop floor.
