Jeffrey R.

I build and fix Shopify and WordPress stores, and I'm one of the few developers who actually does manual WCAG accessibility remediation instead of just running a plugin. Before 8+ years in web development, I spent 11 years as a Special Education Teacher working directly with people who use screen readers and assistive technology. That's not a fun fact, it's why I approach accessibility differently than most. I won't sell you an overlay widget. Tools like accessiBe and UserWay are getting named in ADA lawsuits more and more. They look like a fix but often make things worse for assistive technology users. What I do is a real manual WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 audit with actual fixes and documentation you can reference if you ever need to. WHY I'M DIFFERENT: THE ANTI-AGENCY MODEL Every project ends with a "Keys to the Kingdom" session, hands-on training so you or your team can handle your own daily updates without calling me to swap a photo. The whole point is for you to walk away with something you actually own and know how to use. WHAT I CAN DO: - Custom Shopify and WordPress theme development (scratch or existing theme) - Shopify and WordPress store audits: performance, broken elements, conversion blockers - WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 accessibility audits and manual remediation - Theme refreshes and UI/UX updates - Owner training included with every project Native English speaker and happy to chat through your project here before we get started.
