Autodesk Inventor CAD | Steel Fabrication, BOMs & Estimating
I help fabricators and metalwork businesses turn sketches, dimensions and project requirements into clear 3D CAD models and fabrication documentation. I currently work in a fabrication shop, where I cut steel, weld, fabricate assemblies and paint finished metalwork. That hands-on experience informs my CAD work: I consider how components will be cut, fitted, welded and assembled, as well as how they look on screen. Using Autodesk Inventor, I can help with: • 3D part and assembly modeling • Fabrication and assembly drawings • Bills of materials (BOMs) and cut lists • Steel quantity takeoffs and estimating support • Model revisions and component coordination My project experience includes gates, fencing, carports and modular metal frames. I am familiar with BOM preparation and steel estimating, and can help organize material quantities and cost inputs for your review. You can send sketches, dimensions, reference photos, existing drawings or STEP files. We can define the required deliverables, confirm missing details and build a model that communicates your project clearly to the workshop. If you need CAD support from someone who also works with steel every day, send me your project details.
