Waheed A.

I’m a software developer with 10+ years of experience building production applications across mobile, web, and backend systems. I currently work at Hiiker, a Mapbox-based hiking navigation app, where I own map layer systems, POI hierarchy, and core mobile navigation features. My work focuses on translating complex geospatial data into clear, performant, user-facing map experiences. I also work on native iOS and Android applications, cross-platform product architecture, Firebase-backed systems, and offline-first functionality, often taking ownership across multiple layers of the system rather than isolated features. Apps I’ve shipped have reached 250k+ downloads. On Upwork, I maintain a 100% Job Success Score and a consistent record of 5-star client feedback.
