Danika D.

Well-seasoned writer and curriculum specialist working on my PhD in Humanistic Psychology with a specialization in Creativity, Innovation, and Leadership. My preference is working in collaborative environments filled with people striving to make themselves and the world a better place. I love storytelling in all its forms. It's human nature to connect through stories. That's why I like to form relationships with my clients. I want to know what story you want to tell. I want to know what journey you want your audience or your students to take. I have over two decades of experience in developmental editing, educational media, narrative fiction and non-fiction, and content for children. As a developmental/story editor, I've worked with authors, screenwriters, directors, publishers, and producers. If you need creative content, I've written for print, film, TV, stage, and web. I also have an extensive background in teaching writing and developing curriculum. I believe effective curriculum reveals ideas like a story. If you are not sure whether you need a story editor, developmental editor, or writing coach, I am happy to provide a needs assessment for your project to see if it’s something I can help you with. I can cater my writing services to whatever stage your project is in. I want to help your idea find its best voice. My interests are as diverse as my experience. I never know what I’m going to fall in love with. I am a literary mutt, a geek for clever wordplay, a devourer of memoirs, and a sucker for a well-placed semi-colon or rhyming couplet. I am drawn toward the quirky, innovative, whimsical, and fantastic.
