In my most recent role, I served as a Metal Fabrication Shop Manager and Lead Designer, where I was responsible for overseeing the entire design-to-production workflow. I collaborated closely with major landscape architects to develop detailed shop drawings for complex metalwork installations, including custom staircases, railings, gates, and decorative structures. My experience in managing these projects allowed me to ensure that designs were optimized for both aesthetics and functionality while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards. As a Lead Designer, I created detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, which were used to communicate precise fabrication requirements to the production team. I was also responsible for converting conceptual designs into fully engineered drawings that accounted for material properties, structural integrity, and ease of installation. This often involved coordinating with other disciplines to ensure that all elements were accurately represented and that the final product would meet or exceed client expectations. Additionally, I have hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, which has given me a deep understanding of the practical aspects of working with different metals.
