Karl K.

The best writing is precise, concise, accurate, and accessible to a non-specialist. I am a native English speaker with extensive editing and writing experience. I am comfortable writing about anything in science or commerce, and specialize in the natural sciences, medicine, psychology, history, and the social sciences. Cryptocurrency has become a subspecialty of mine. I can edit and write about any topic. As a retired professor with a Ph.D., I have published over 70 papers. Forty of those papers have been cited at least 40 times! You can see all my work on Google Scholar, linked on my portfolio. For 15 years, I was an associate editor of "Systematic Biology", one of the highest impact journals in science. I guided many doctoral dissertations to successful completion and was head of admissions in my department. I have a strong record in writing proposals and have been awarded seven NSF grants. I have years of experience in teaching as well, with demonstrated success at primary, secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels. This experience has provided skills in explaining things to any targeted audience, from 5 year-olds to professors. Just because I am capable of writing highly complex technical stuff does not mean that I cannot communicate to a general audience. Please do not invite me to interview for fixed-price jobs. I prefer hourly rates so that I can offer you meticulous service, without rushing.
