I have over 20 years experience as a business and financial consultant with a wide range of experience in bookkeeping, commercial mortgages, financial modelling, real estate investing, personal financial planning, tax, business start up and business planning, financial software design and development. I am a Certified Bookkeeper, and for over 15 years I have provided bookkeeping on a freelance basis for all types of small businesses such as restaurants, general contractors, self employed individuals/trades people, software companies, real estate companies, investment companies etc. I have also worked as a licensed commercial mortgage agent originating and underwriting loans for hotels, apartment buildings, office buildings, shopping centers and construction projects in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. In addition, I have written loan packages for presentation to lenders and created pitch decks and offering memorandums for raising capital from investors. I have also been involved in raising capital for development projects using syndicate mortgages and limited partnership structures. I have strong experience in financial modelling and analysis for real estate investments using MS Excel. I have created many financial proforma’s, discounted cash flow valuations, budgets, JV investor payouts and waterfalls along with the requisite graphs, financial ratios and statistics. Property types would include hotels, multi-family, retail, office self storage, and ground up construction projects. Lastly, for over thirteen years I was a licensed Investment Advisor and worked in the areas of financial planning, portfolio management and investing in stocks, bonds, ETF's and mutual funds.
