Catalina S.

Hello, I’m Catalina, a professional children’s book illustrator splitting my time between Oxford, UK, and Kyoto, Japan. I hold a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, specializing in watercolor, gouache, and oil painting techniques. My portfolio reflects a blend of these mediums, showcasing my versatility and commitment to the art of illustration. Drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli’s enchanting visuals and J.R.R. Tolkien’s rich fantasy worlds, I create illustrations that resonate with both children and adults. The pieces in my portfolio include fan art designed to demonstrate my skills; these are for viewing purposes only and are not for sale, all while respecting copyright laws. I pride myself on professionalism, adaptability across various artistic mediums, and efficiency in delivering high-quality results. I look forward to the possibility of collaborating and sharing my passion for illustration with you. Best regards, Catalina
