I look forward to connecting. -- Hi there! I’m Edward (most people call me Edy). Why me? I’m easy to work with, I understand tech, and I understand business. I also get very excited about finding efficiencies that aren't over-engineered, and that keep you in control. I previously provided business and export advice to 100s of companies who were wanting to grow their businesses. I saw an opportunity to not just help out on the on business side, but also implement tech solutions to real problems I saw. So I ended up doing a Masters in Applied Computing, and subsequently working for Halter - New Zealand’s #1 deep-tech startup. While at Halter I helped them save well over 1000 hours by developing an automated data dictionary assembler (using dbt Docs) which scraped and reconciled source code with their internal documents. This also made understanding the data far simpler, allowing staff to focus on actually deriving value from it instead of asking around for how to make sense of it. I also automated research reports for some of our key stakeholders (using AWS Airflow), savings 100s of hours of finicky, error prone human prep work which added no value. Over my time working with businesses and implementing tech solutions, I've had the opportunity to get exposure to many industries: - Manufacturing, - Services (e.g., Insurance), - e-commerce, - SaaS My background working with such a broad range of companies allows me to not only create something that works, but something that delivers on your vision. I don't over-engineer. I understand the limitations of automation and AI, and solutions will be tailored to what you're comfortable with.
