AWS DevOps Engineer | Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform & CI/CD

Your infrastructure works fine until it doesn't — and that's usually at 2am, mid-deploy, or the week you're onboarding your biggest customer. I'm an AWS DevOps engineer with 15+ years of keeping production boring, 100% Job Success, and 427 hours delivered on Upwork. I take on two kinds of work. FIX IT NOW — Broken deployments, servers that won't stay up, SSL and DNS gone sideways, a Linux box behaving strangely, a pod stuck in CrashLoopBackOff. Send access and a description of what's wrong. You get a diagnosis, a fix, and a plain-English explanation of what actually happened so it doesn't happen twice. BUILD IT RIGHT — CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code in Terraform or CDK, EKS and ECS clusters, monitoring that pages you before your customers do, and cloud bills that stop climbing every month. Selected work: - Multi-region, highly available AWS infrastructure (100% CDK) for a US state government — 30% cost reduction - Production EKS clusters for six FinTech portfolios and a bank - Deployment time cut 70% across 70+ microservices using EKS, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions - Full cloud migration for one of the largest US real estate firms, reporting to the President - Serverless SaaS platform on Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB — 40% lower operating cost - Linux fleets at 99.99% uptime serving 250M+ page views per month - Custom-hardened Linux image running CCTV systems in casinos nationwide - Architected on AWS while it was still in beta Stack: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS, CloudFormation, CDK), Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, ELK, Nginx, Ubuntu / RHEL / Debian, Python, Go, Bash, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB I've been the project architect on builds like these many times over. In practice that mostly means I'll tell you when the thing you asked for isn't the thing you need — and then build what you asked for anyway if you still want it after hearing why. Linux is the part I genuinely enjoy, so no job is too small. A two-hour SSL fix and a six-month platform build are both welcome here. Tell me what's broken or what you're building, and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for it.
