Senior Python & Systems Engineer | AI & Automation Pipelines

Senior Python & systems engineer with a deep mix of cybersecurity, embedded/IoT, RF/SDR, and data-pipeline work. I build the glue: services, scripts, and infrastructure that make hardware, sensors, and cloud systems behave like a single product instead of a pile of parts. In cybersecurity, I spent ~5 years working end-to-end around DLP and incident management: starting as a triage analyst, then designing and tuning DLP policies for enterprise clients, then leading a 3-person data engineering/reporting team, and finally building an incident-management tool integrating with Microsoft security products (C# and JavaScript). A lot of that work was about reducing noise, automating repetitive analysis, and turning raw events into something people can act on. On the embedded side, I work with microcontrollers and small devices (ESP32/ESP8266/ESP-01S, Teensy-based flight computers, sensors over I2C/SPI/UART, GPS/IMU stacks). Projects include MicroPython/Arduino HTTP control services, Wi-Fi trigger endpoints, and custom telemetry platforms for high-power rocketry with redundant sensors and robust logging. I’ve also designed and built distributed “sensor box” / SigInt-style platforms: industrial PCs and small Linux devices with SDRs, multiple Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters, LPR/camera inputs, and a stack of Python services for Bluetooth discovery, GSM capture, Wi-Fi/Kismet integration, and packet parsing with tools like tshark. These systems feed into MQTT, Apache NiFi, and cloud ingestion layers for long-term, unattended operation. On the data and DevOps side, I build ingestion and processing services that move events from MQTT and webhooks into cloud storage, databases, and analytics stacks. I work with Docker/Compose, Linux, Nginx, systemd, and AWS (EC2/S3) to deploy and keep things running. I’ve done TLS/PKI automation for NiFi clusters, logging/metrics plumbing, and various “watchdog” and kill-switch scripts around critical services. Around that core, I’ve touched a lot of adjacent areas: Shopify/Liquid theme customization, Node.js APIs and SPAs, n8n workflows, OBS/browser overlays, AI-voice/VTuber-style streaming setups, and green-screen product imagery pipelines. Earlier in my career I spent ~8 years in neuroscience research and ~15 years as a professional voice talent, which shows up now as comfort with both heavy data work and creator/streaming tooling.
