Michael H.

Hello! My name is Mike. I am a System Administrator and Web Developer from Texas. I have worked in a variety of different roles in the I.T. field and I am here to use my knowledge to help you! I.T. related projects or issues are often times very frustrating in nature. The good news is that though things may appear to be complex, there is always a solution. Whether you need help with your server or with setting up a website, I can help deliver the solution! My goal is to deliver the results you desire! When you employ me, you are not just getting a freelancer for a couple of hours. You are getting a solutions driven individual that is committed to delivering the intended result! On the System Administration side I specialize in administering Linux Servers, particularly those based on CentOS or Red Hat distributions. This includes setting up services and hardening the server to make it as secure as possible! My recent work has included setting up Linux servers to function as web servers with CentOS Web Panel and hardening these servers by applying best security practices. When it comes to Web Development, I have experience in creating websites with Wordpress and with writing stand alone web applications in PHP, Javascript, Jquery, and HTML/CSS/Bootstrap. I also have quite a bit of experience with Databases based on MySQL and PostgreSQL. In the beginning of my career, I had the pleasure of working in customer facing positions where I assisted the less technically inclined with their I.T. related needs. I take great pride in being able to not only deliver the intended result, but also in knowing that I have helped someone else learn something new. While I consider myself a professional, I am very down to earth and prefer to treat all of my clients like family. Lets work together! Mike
