Joseph Nicholas R.

Hi, I'm Nico (performing as Ellie Ramos), a professional singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist with a career spanning since 2007. I've built a personal catalog of 300+ original songs and performed live since 2017, playing everything from Beatles and Coldplay to Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, all on acoustic guitar. I also currently teach ESL to children online, so I already have real, hands-on experience running structured, engaging 1-on-1 lessons for young learners over video call. That teaching background, combined with my music career, is what I now bring to online acoustic guitar lessons for kids and beginners. My focus is making the first few months of guitar fun instead of frustrating, which is where most beginners quit. Lessons are conducted over Zoom or Google Meet, one hour per session, and cover the essentials: proper posture and hand position, your first chords, basic strumming patterns, and how to actually play songs you recognize, not just drills and scales. What I bring to lessons: Proven experience teaching children online, so I know how to keep young learners focused, engaged, and progressing over video call Real, working musician experience across pop, rock, R&B, and hip-hop, so lessons stay current and fun, not textbook-dry A calm, patient teaching style suited to kids and total beginners who've never held a guitar before A huge personal repertoire to pull "next song to learn" ideas from, tailored to what the student actually wants to play Clear, one-hour Zoom or Google Meet sessions with simple explanations and no music-theory overwhelm unless the student wants to go deeper Whether it's a child picking up their first guitar or an adult beginner who's always wanted to learn, I'll meet you where you are and build a lesson plan around your pace and goals. Let's get you playing your first full song sooner than you think.
