My resume highlights years of experience as a communications professional. At GE Healthcare IT, I performed successfully as a senior writer and team lead. I was instrumental in creating a working agile documentation team. As an individual contributor I wrote installation and configuration documentation for UNIX and Windows system administrators supporting our products in Oracle and SQL environments. I worked on extensive online help systems for both administrators and end users, and contributed to marketing, training, and online collateral. My last three years with GE were as a remote employee. For other employers and writing contracts, I have written user and administrative documentation for networking, security, SOA plugins, exposed APIs, and a wide variety of software applications. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for clear and concise communication between the company, its customers and the project teams. As a Writer, I developed documentation for complex products knowing the audience wasn't nearly as technical as the information being conveyed. As a Team Lead, I worked with stakeholders, selected development tools, edited manuscripts, determined distribution techniques and defined the scope of product documentation. As a Program Manager, I led teams to achieve management goals of documentation product quality, excellence, branding and usability. I am expert in multiple publishing and other software tools. I have always enjoyed technology and keeping my skills sharp. I have been attending Doña Ana Community College, completing courses in networking, image processing, programming and web design.
