I've worked on database systems for the last 18 years. I started working with DB2 on the mainframe and Sybase on Unix systems. I have experience with replication across multiple systems. I specialized on installation, performance and tuning, troubleshooting, monitoring and alerting and also backup and recovery. I then worked on Sybase on Linux and more recently I've worked with PostgreSQL on Linux. I've worked in the utility, financial, software and e-commerce areas. I aim to identify any issues or areas of improvements and addressing them as quickly as possible. I'm very comfortable using bash scripting to achieve the desired outcome. I'm also a fluent Spanish speaker.
