Sathish V.
Embedded Systems Engineer
I am an experienced Embedded Design and Firmware Developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge solutions for various microcontrollers and microprocessors. With a deep understanding of industry-standard peripherals, I have a proven track record of delivering innovative and robust products. Here are some of my notable projects that showcase my skills and experience: 5G RU Radio design: As a key member of a project team, I played a significant role in the design, development, and production of a 5G RU radio unit for one of my clients. My responsibilities included participating in system design, defining the architecture, optimizing the bill of materials, developing firmware, and creating a manufacturing test suite. To accomplish these tasks, I utilized advanced chipset such as Xilinx MPSoC and RFSoC, Intel Agilex, Stratrix, and Cyclone 10 across various product variants. Home Monitoring Device: I designed and developed the firmware and cross-platform GUI application for a home monitoring system using the CC3200 WiFi chipset. To ensure optimal performance, I utilized both TI RTOS and Micrium uC/OS RTOS. Fitness Wristband: I was a key contributor in the development of a fitness wristband that monitored step count and sleep cycle. This project utilized the CC2541 BLE chipset to run the fitness algorithms and handle data communication. AI-Based Heart Diagnosis Device: I designed and developed an AI-powered heart diagnosis device that was battery-operated and used heart sound for US clients. The device used the CC5545 DSP for audio sampling and enhancement, an OSD3358 chip for AI edge computing, and a panasys circular display to show the results. I also performed the bring-up of the OSD3358 in the latest Yocto and Kernel 5.8 support. Timestamp Logging Device: I developed a BLE-based timestamp logging device that used the CC2541 to monitor time and send data to nearby mobile devices. Mesh based sensor data collection: I developed a BLE mesh-based sensor data collection form where multiple ESP32-C3 devices collects sensor readings and broadcast in the mesh. Then eventually a central node will send the data to a server. In addition to these projects, I have also worked on several other microcontrollers and processors, including Phytec AM572x SoM, OMAPL138, Keystone K2E, AST2600, and nRF52, to name a few. I have also worked with several peripherals such as I2C, SPI, MCASP, I2S, USB, UART, uPP, EMAC, MDIO, NAND flash interface, EMIF, SDIO, and eMMC. In conclusion, I am a highly skilled Embedded Design and Firmware Developer with a wealth of experience in developing solutions for various microcontrollers and microprocessors. With a deep understanding of industry-standard peripherals and a passion for innovation, I am confident in my ability to deliver high-quality solutions for any project.
