Hassan F.

Shopify Solutions Architect and Developer with 6 years of experience and 1,600+ hours delivered on Upwork. I build Shopify apps (public and custom) using Remix and Ruby on Rails for merchants and agencies who need more than a theme customization: API integrations, checkout logic, subscription billing, and scalable e-commerce systems. I also integrate AI capabilities into these systems, from LLM-powered features to workflow automation using n8n and tools like Claude and OpenAI's APIs. Recent work includes a custom Shopify subscription app with Recharge API integration, letting customers curate and schedule monthly scent boxes through a custom customer portal, Theme App Extension, and Customer Account UI Extension. Redesigned the storefront subscription-first, rebuilding the PDP and customer dashboard with reviews, ratings, and personalized upsells for stronger conversion and retention. Key skills and technologies: Shopify App Development: public and private apps built with Remix, using the Admin GraphQL API, Webhooks, App Bridge, Checkout Extensibility, and Shopify Functions, including subscription and recurring billing apps. Ruby on Rails: backend systems and RESTful APIs, background jobs, database design. React.js and Vue.js: dynamic, responsive front-end interfaces and admin dashboards. AI integration and automation: LLM-powered features (Claude, OpenAI), workflow automation with n8n, prompt-driven automation, and AI-assisted app logic. Third-party integrations: payment gateways, ERPs, shipping, and inventory systems. I communicate clearly, scope work realistically, and focus on delivering something that works reliably in production, not just a demo. Happy to review your project and share a quick technical plan before you commit to a hire.
