Business Systems Analyst | QA Testing | Requirements & UAT
Hi, I’m Kendall! I’m a Business Systems Analyst and QA Analyst with 17+ years of experience figuring out how systems, processes, requirements, and people fit together... and finding the gaps when they don’t. Most of my work starts with something that isn't working quite right, doesn't make sense, or isn't clearly defined yet. That's usually where I'm most useful. I spent much of my career as a Functional Analyst supporting U.S. Air Force personnel systems. I worked directly with users, business stakeholders, developers, testers, and leadership across requirements, business processes, testing, system integrations, modernization efforts, Salesforce, and Agile development. Today, I bring that same experience to clients who need someone who can jump in, understand what's going on, and help make it better. I can help with: • Business and systems analysis • Manual and exploratory software testing • UAT planning, execution, and documentation • Requirements gathering and analysis • User stories and acceptance criteria • Process mapping and gap analysis • Bug investigation, reproduction, and documentation • Workflow and process improvement • Backlog and requirements cleanup • Usability and user experience gaps • Translating between business and technical teams When I'm analyzing or testing something, I don't just check whether it technically works. I want to know what happens when someone doesn't follow the expected path. What did we assume they already knew? What happens before and after this step? If something fails here, what else does it affect? Is this actually a bug, a requirement problem, a process problem, or something else entirely? And one of my favorite questions: **Did we technically meet the requirement but completely miss the point?** You don't need to have everything perfectly figured out before bringing me in. I'm comfortable walking into unfamiliar systems, digging through what's already there, asking questions, talking with users and stakeholders when they're available, and figuring out where the gaps are. Depending on the project, I can provide clear, usable deliverables including test cases, bug reports, UAT documentation, process maps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, gap findings, and workflow recommendations. I document what I find in plain English so the people who need to act on it can actually use it. Tools I've worked with include Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, SharePoint, HP ALM, BrowserStack, Postman, SQL, Excel, Caliber RM, StarTeam, WordPress, Shopify, NetSuite, and Linux CLI. I'm also an Air Force veteran and apparently professionally incapable of leaving a weird process unexplored. 😊
