Darren M.

My name is Darren, I'm 41 years old from Northern Ireland and I am a fully qualified graphic designer with a BA(Hons) degree in Design & Communication from the University of Ulster. I am a creative, imaginative and highly motivated graphic designer who has a passion for all types of design and visual communication. I would say my best skill is my attention to detail and I'd have to admit to being a perfectionist, which I think is key in this profession. My strengths lie in logo design and branding but I also have plenty of experience designing brochures, advertisements and graphic art. I possess skill in photo editing/retouching as well as video editing and photography. I am highly proficient in using the majority of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Lightroom and Premiere Pro. I'd describe my favoured design style as modern and minimalist but I love the challenge of creating designs in styles that I am less comfortable with. I enjoy the art of typography in my designs and I'm always conscious of colour theory and utilising colours that compliment each other, and the clients needs.
