I've got a bachelor's degree in journalism, a minor in piano performance and a stubborn desire to rid the world of typos. Twelve years as a newspaper editor have exposed me to a vast array of topics — pretty much anything a reporter throws my way! — though my particular favorites are science, health and business. I don't mind digging in and doing a thorough developmental edit, but what I love most is the nitty gritty line and copy editing, with AP style being my preference. I also have experience writing and editing web content, brochures/promotional materials, essays, articles and graphics. From grade school through present-day column writing, I've always been told my work stands out because it has voice, which I take as a great compliment.
