Hilary S.

Hi! I’m Hilary, an experienced beta reader, critique partner, and published author. I provide thoughtful, in-depth feedback on finished manuscripts and works in progress from both a reader’s and a writer’s perspective. I work across most fiction genres, but I’m especially interested in psychological suspense, thrillers, mysteries, fantasy, and darker character-driven stories. I accept select romance projects when the story also contains strong suspense, mystery, fantasy, or psychological elements. My goal is to help you understand what is working, where readers may lose interest or become confused, and which areas could benefit from further development. Every order includes in-line comments throughout your manuscript and a detailed reader report explaining my overall experience. My feedback may cover: Plot development and pacing Character development Dialogue Author voice Themes Setting and atmosphere Reader engagement Areas of confusion or inconsistency I welcome most genres and forms of creative writing. My feedback is honest, constructive, and focused on helping you strengthen your manuscript while preserving your unique voice and vision. Please note: I do not accept religious nonfiction.
