Mechanical Design Engineer

Muhammad Alsaadawy I am an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Design and Production, and a PhD researcher at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. I hold a Master's degree with a thesis titled "Study of the Effect of Laser Cutting Process Variables on Surface Quality and Kerf Profile of Titanium Alloy Ti6Al4V." which resulted in the publication of three papers in reputable journals. Additionally, I worked for nearly a year and a half on a 3D metal printing project titled "Design and Manufacturing of a Mechanical Structure for a High-Speed Nanopositioner,". I have over 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, product design, patents, and manufacturing using modern technologies like 3D printing and digital manufacturing. My expertise spans various engineering software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Fusion 360, in addition to simulation and analysis programs like Solidworks and Minitab. I have extensive practical experience with machines and equipment, including laser cutting machines and their software (e.g., Cypcut), wire cutting machines, polishing equipment, sample preparation for hardness measurements using Mitutoyo devices, Telesurface for roughness measurement, optical microscopes for 2D and 3D surface imaging, SEM, and traditional machines like drills and grinders. Furthermore, I specialize in patent design and the preparation of necessary files for submission to patent offices in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. I provide comprehensive guidance on the entire patent application process to help innovators ensure their submissions meet the required standards. I am also capable of teaching various mechanical engineering subjects such as mechanical design, stress analysis, mechanics of materials, statics, advanced manufacturing processes, mechanical drawing, and engineering drawing using SolidWorks. I train students in SolidWorks through thorough explanations, while encouraging independent work during exams and assignments. My goal is to help students achieve top grades while gaining a deep understanding of the subjects. I also have foundational knowledge in explaining lathes and milling machines, as well as teaching workshops in production engineering materials such as casting, welding, forging, grinding, turning, milling, drilling, and planning. Moreover, I have experience applying for master's and PhD scholarships and can offer advice on how to improve the chances of success. This includes reaching out to potential supervisors, understanding diverse types of scholarships, identifying the best countries for study, navigating interviews, and preparing the required documents for visas and university registration before traveling. I strive to contribute to developing innovative engineering solutions that meet industry demands. I strongly believe in sharing knowledge with students and trainees to achieve mutual success.
