• I am a graduate engineer with a master's degree in Business Administration. • I have 32 years of experience comprising 3 years in the process industry and 30 years in construction and maintenance planning. During my long association with Descon (a leading construction company in Pakistan), I gained valuable experience in Project Management. I have good analytical skills and have expertise in management reporting regarding Earned Value Management (EVM), Bill of Quantity (BoQ), budgeting, cost and progress monitoring and evaluation concerning baselines, Critical Path Method (CPM), Project Evaluation & Review Technique (PERT) using Primavera Project Planner (P3 & P6) and MS Project 2013. • I am fully familiar with Processes involved in Bidding, Planning, Monitoring, Documents Control, Material Management (Acquisition, Warehousing, Issuance, Retrieval and Reconciliation), Quality Control, Human Resource Management (Effective Utilization), Construction Equipment Management, Lessons Learned Management. Qadirpur Gas Field Development Project near Ghotki (Sind). 3 million man-hours worth project included Civil, Mechanical & E&I discipline. The project was completed on the target date and within budget. b. ICI Polyester Expansion Project near Lahore worth 3.5 million man-hours. The project was completed on time and within budget. c. ICI Soda Ash Expansion Project – 191 KTPA. As in-charge of Major Turnaround (Biggest in history of ICI Pakistan Limited) I prepared plans, evaluated resources, formed teams, assigned work packages, controlled team deployments, and monitored daily performance. The turnaround was completed safely and one day early. d. Qatar Gas DBN Project in Qatar e. Lasmo-Bhit Field Development project near Sehwan (Sind) – Civil works and Cross-Country Pipe Line project f. BHPB Zamzama Field Project – Civil works g. Daewoo Ruwais Refinery Expansion project in Abu Dhabi. • I have also completed the following maintenance projects as Planning Manager / Planning Engineer: a. PARCO MCR Revamp & TA-4 2020. 45 days turnaround was completed safely, on time, and within budget. b. Dolphin Energy Limited Turnaround in 2013 and 2014. c. Oman Refinery (ORC) Turnaround at Muscat, Sultanate of Oman in 1997. d. Major Turnaround of Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) at Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1996. e. Ruwais Refinery Hydrocracker Turnaround at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi in 1996. f. Ruwais Refinery Hydroskimmer Turnaround at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi in 1993. • I have good acumen of Information Technology systems related to various processes involved w.r.t Project Management & Controls. I lead and got various IT Systems developed in-house for Descon. These systems provide cutting edge strength required for successful execution of projects for which Descon is known. Lessons Learned Management System (LLMS) • For Descon Engineering Limited I prepared Planning and Execution Manual which also serves purpose of standardizing company procedures and to impart training to new employees. • As Business Process Owner (BPO) for implementation of SAP (PS Module), I prepared User Requirement Document (URD) covering all the practice for clarification for SAP Consultant. I also prepared Business Blueprint (BBP) and signed on my company's behalf with the SAP Consultant. It was first successful implementation of SAP-PS module in a leading Construction Company in Pakistan. • I have good communication skills in English and Urdu. I have good experience in writing training manuals and imparting trainings to young engineers, including Flow Charts (using MS Visio and MS Excel), making presentations, conducting Technical Audits, and publishing audit reports. • I have recently retired from my job and am enthusiastic about Freelancing as my next career move.
