I've been an engineer for 8 years — the first few in C++, the last 4 mostly in Rust. On top of that I run my own e-commerce store, so I've spent a long time shipping software that has to actually work, not just demo well. Most of my recent work is Rust: high-performance backend services, async internals, FFI, and ML inference through ONNX on plain CPU (no GPU budget, so it has to be fast anyway). Right now I'm migrating a production PHP/Laravel backend over to Rust. The C++ background helps here — a lot of the systems-level thinking carries straight over. On the ML side I've built a full product-recognition pipeline — barcode decoding, OCR, image embeddings, vector search with Qdrant, and a classifier on top. Real project, real data, running in production, not a notebook demo. I also contribute to OpenHuman (TinyHumans), the open-source Rust AI agent. My PRs there were performance work — Aho-Corasick matching, a trigram index, and RegexSet-based lookups to speed up the text search path. Outside of Rust I'm comfortable across the stack: PHP/Laravel, Vue, Angular on the web, and Kotlin, Swift and Flutter on mobile (including BLE and some embedded work). Years of WooCommerce / PrestaShop / Shoper / IdoSell and scraping infrastructure in the e-commerce space. I work solo, so you talk to the person actually writing the code. I ask questions early, I don't disappear for a week, and I tell you when something's a bad idea before it costs you.
