German & UK B2B Cold Calling | DACH Sales | Lead Generation | M&A

I can build rapport, credibility and goodwill with a completely cold prospect within seconds. I have been cold calling for more than 30 years and have repeatedly been trusted to approach business owners and senior decision-makers, generate qualified meetings and open doors for the companies I represented. I am a native German speaker and have used English professionally for more than 30 years. Germany and DACH are my main markets. What can I do with a cold list? Software company needs meetings with German decision-makers: I have cold-called for technology campaigns involving Ivanti, TIBCO, Symantec, i-nexus, SolidWorks, HP and Lenovo, speaking with business owners, CIOs, CTOs, CFOs and CEOs. On a Lenovo campaign, I was cold calling German businesses and arranging face-to-face meetings for Lenovo field representatives. My results led management to ask me to train another caller in my call structure and the Lenovo proposition. I was subsequently given responsibility for ongoing coaching of another team member, including listening to calls and advising how they could be improved. That is useful evidence of what I offer a client: give me the proposition and the target market, and I learn how to turn it into conversations and meetings. Prospect says: “We already use another solution”: That is not necessarily the end of a cold call. On an i-nexus software campaign, I reached a prospect already using competing software. I established what they were using, asked the right questions and explained why i-nexus was worth considering instead. I moved the opportunity away from the incumbent solution. i-nexus could listen to my recorded calls. Their Marketing Manager said they were impressed by the “level of knowledge and understanding” I had developed of their solution. Their Regional Business Development Manager said: “I couldn’t have handled the call better myself.” Proof available in writing. He said I asked the right questions, conveyed the proposition correctly and “sounded like a Six Sigma black belt.” The client also reported that the campaign had generated a good number of meetings with relevant contacts. Cold-calling campaign needs somebody who can perform consistently: At Quantum Marketing, I worked across technology campaigns and was repeatedly recognised as the top-performing caller of the week and month, performing above the other callers during those periods. Cold calling is not simply reading a script quickly. I need to understand what I am offering, why a prospect might care, what they already have and what question will keep the conversation going. That becomes particularly important when dealing with senior people. I listen to what they say and adapt the conversation rather than trying to force them through a predetermined script. Different proposition? The same principle applies. Market consultancy needs German business prospects: At Frost & Sullivan, an international market consultancy, I cold-called German businesses to create opportunities for training and other services. My department head later described me as “the backbone of our German business.” VAT consultancy needs international e-commerce prospects: At Meridian Global Services, I spent five years approaching international and e-commerce businesses about VAT registrations and related services. That meant understanding enough about the prospect's trading situation to make the initial conversation relevant. Need more than the initial appointment? I can continue further when required. I have sold face-to-face, at trade fairs and through the full sales cycle. For a Swiss agricultural company, for example, I handled the process from cold call and customer meeting through negotiation, closing and invoicing to checking stock and ensuring dispatch. That wider experience helps my cold calling because I understand what needs to happen after the appointment I generate. Please see my verified Upwork testimonials for more recent client feedback.
