French copy editing, language editing and proofreading for academic publishing and digital humanities. SCHOLARLY EDITING Since 2008 I have prepared more than 200 books for French academic publishers – philosophy, sociology, history, law, psychoanalysis, and large reference works (dictionaries of 1,500 pages with full name indexes). Notes, bibliographies, indexes, style sheets, Word styles, French typographic conventions. DIGITAL PUBLISHING I prepare Word manuscripts for structured publishing – clean styles, consistent notes and bibliographies, XML (TEI, JATS). I have also written my own Python tools, running under my supervision, that help with the mechanical side of the job – consistency checks, typography, bibliographic formatting, document structure. Every text is then proofread in full. LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGY For Qordoba (now Writer), an AI writing assistant, I spent six months full time writing about 1,000 French grammar and style rules in LanguageTool XML (627 hours, 5★). I also take on French language work for AI projects: evaluating model outputs, writing guidelines, co-authoring language-learning content. Languages: French (native), Spanish (fluent, based in Catalonia), English (good working level – strong reading and comprehension, written exchanges).
