Shannan Z.

If it's superb writing and expert editing you need, you're in the right place. My forte is making sure your final product reflects your inner genius. Whether you're a corporate CEO or a one-man show, you'll get polished, professional content that lets your expertise shine. I've been editing professionally since 1993—everything from technical, financial, and scientific reports, blogs, SOPs, and manuals to manuscripts, poetry, motivational curricula, and annual reports. My writing is nimble and diverse, crafting persuasive proposals, compelling case studies, moving memoirs and bios, and creative, dynamic marketing assets. My work reflects my native U.S. English language. I'm downright fanatical (read: neurotic) about spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. In addition to proofreading, I offer superior copyediting: improving phrasing, clarity, tone, and flow; identifying areas that need additional support; and writing new or revised material that genuinely connects with your reader. In 2019, I took a leap of faith and retired from a 26-year career in state government at age 43 (do the math if you want to!) to pursue my dream of editing and writing as a freelancer. Since then, I've been helping individuals and companies produce outstanding content of every sort. My reviews are truly humbling, and I encourage you to read a few. What's ahead? That depends on you! Join me on this journey. Reach out to get the ball rolling. I look forward to talking with you!
