I am a native English speaker and scientist with strong technical writing skills. I can grasp and implement complex concepts quickly. Then I write about them concisely and clearly. In my twenty years of experience in petroleum field exploration and appraisal geoscience, I proofread numerous documents at a multinational company, wrote sales flyers for multimillion-dollar data-room sales efforts, and presented prospects to outside energy companies. My biggest life accomplishment is helping discover three major deep-water oil and gas fields, proving up nearly 1.5 BBOE of recoverable hydrocarbons worth about $60,000,000,000. In my most recent role as a freelance technical writer and editor, I use InDesign or Word to create understandable, thorough product instruction manuals with a focus on consumer electronics products, mostly in the fitness and wellness space. I also write, review, and edit reports, manuals, website copy, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instructions, always striving for uniformity, clarity, and accuracy. I've also prepared supporting Word reports, Excel documents, and PowerPoint presentations for technical reports, expenditure justifications, and peer reviews.
